Homer “Woody” Atwood is a Technical Training Instructor with over 30 years of experience in heavy-duty transit vehicle maintenance and workforce development. An Oregon State Certified Journeyman Heavy Duty Bus Mechanic, he holds multiple Cummins certifications (including CNG), Voith VOLT certification and EPA 608/609 credentials, and serves as an EPA Instructor/Proctor for ACCA and ESCO.

Woody currently trains for New Flyer and previously held leadership and training roles with the Transit Authority of River City and TriMet in Portland, Oregon. He is recognized for developing a U.S. Department of Labor–registered Heavy Duty Bus Diesel Apprenticeship program and for establishing CDL training initiatives that improved workforce readiness and reduced testing failure rates.
