Navigating the Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) can be challenging for transit agencies, particularly when it comes to understanding how these rules apply to their charging systems. To help transit agencies optimize carbon credit opportunities, the Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC) sought clarification from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) on the roles of Charging-Site Hosts and Charging-Network Operators under the CFR. Agencies can review the correspondence, along with a CUTRIC summary and ECCC’s response for guidance.
