Marko is the Director of Engineering Services with OC Transpo, City of Ottawa and has over 30 years of professional experience in the railway and mobility sector, with a background in engineering, innovation, and leadership. This includes 20 years at Bombardier Transportation (now Alstom), where he spent a decade in Germany specializing in testing, system integration, production, and innovation.

After relocating to Kingston, Canada, 12 years ago, he transitioned into leading advancements in automated and driverless systems. His diverse project experience includes monorail test tracks, linear induction motors for the Vancouver SkyTrain and Scarborough Line, and wayside innovations, such as energy storage and inductive charging systems.
